Researching the Veterans in the database

  1. How do I help research the Veterans in the database?

Site Operation:

1- Is VeteranResearch.org a U.S.Government or U.S. Military Website?
No, we are not affiliated with the U.S. Government or U.S. Military.  We are a U.S. Military Veteran operated private website that provides a service to allow for the assistance in researching fellow U.S. Military Veterans to learn more about their military history.

2- Is this site funded by donations?
No, we do not currently accept donations and are privately funded.

Research Database:

1- Who can submit a Veteran into the Veteran Research database?
Family members, friends and the Veterans themselves can submit information into the database if they would like to know more about the military history of the Veteran being added.

2- What do you do with the information added into the database?
When the information is submitted to the Veteran Research database, a page is created with the Veteran’s information which includes all the information entered into this submission form.  The page containing the information is publicly accessible and volunteers who help with the research of Veterans will use that information to try to learn more about the Veteran and either contact the person who submitted the information directly via the email they provided or leave a comment on the page listing the Veteran’s details.

3- Is the information submitted to the database used for any other purpose?
No, the information in the database is not used by VeteranResearch.org for any other purpose.  The data is publicly accessible and may be used by other parties for research, but we do not control what other people do with the information.

4- How can I edit the information I entered into the database?
When you entered the information into the database, an email was sent to the email account you listed in the contact section of the submission form.  This email contained a private link which can be used to edit the information you submitted.  If you lost your private link, please send an email to webmaster@veteranresearch.org from the same email address you used when submitting the information and let us know what the name of the Veteran is that you need to update.  We will send you the private link which you can then use to make any needed updates
